Our Alucon Aluminum NPT weld bung is precision CNC-machined from 6061 aluminum. It features an extended flanged shoulder design to minimize thread distortion during welding and a larger surface area that enhances the strength of the weld. Additionally, the bung includes a bottom lip for improved alignment and centering during the welding process.

NPT (National Pipe Thread) fittings use tapered threads to create a mechanical seal as they tighten. Common in low- to medium-pressure systems, they offer a simple and reliable connection when used with thread sealant.
